The major strength of Weeks Medical Center is found in the ability of our physicians and staff to offer extensive services utilizing state-of-the-art technology, while maintaining the personalized care of a community hospital. Weeks is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital offering Medical, Surgical and Intensive Care Services. In addition, a wide variety of outpatient services are available, including Cardiac and Physical Rehabilitation; fully-staffed Oncology department; 24-hour Emergency Care; a fully equipped laboratory; and an extensive Radiology department. Weeks is blessed with strong leadership and a dedicated community that allows us to meet the ever-changing requirements of today's healthcare environment.

The Weeks Emergency Department offers health services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to patients of all ages with all presenting complaints. The Emergency Department is responsible for the immediate treatment of any medical or surgical emergency; for initiating life saving procedures in all types of emergency situations; and for providing emergency and initial evaluations and treatment for other conditions including minor illnesses and injuries, and sub-acute medical problems. After initial assessment and stabilization, patients can be transported to other larger specialty hospitals if necessary.

Board Certified Physicians

The WMC Medical Staff includes approximately 50 Primary and Specialty care physicians. Medical Staff offices are located in at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster and the physician practices in Lancaster, Groveton and Whitefield. One hundred percent of the Medical Staff are Board Certified in their Specialty areas.

Primary Care Services

Weeks oversees a primary care network of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. This network provides a wide range of primary care services for individuals and families with offices in Lancaster, Groveton and Whitefield.
