Pathology

Weeks Medical Center's onsite Pathologist is Dr. Lisa Gagne, a board-certified physician in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) and member of the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Dr. Gagne performs pathology procedures (surgical tissue and cell diagnoses) and directs the Clinical Laboratory (blood and body fluid specimens) and the Histology Lab (tissue slides and staining process).

WMCs Laboratory is a CAP certified laboratory. Week's Pathology department has a strong collaboration with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (consultations and special lab services) and Histology serves as the regional center for Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital (UCVH), Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) and North Country Hospital (NCH). There are coordinated consultations and pathology coverage with regional pathologists Doctors Charles Brown (AVH) and Robert McDowell (NCH).
