With an average of 7300 visits per year, Weeks Emergency Department is one of the busiest departments in the hospital. With staff of 5 board-certified emergency physicians, 10 specialty nurses and 3 paramedics, patients can expect the same high quality emergency medicine care that you find in a larger hospital without the long wait.
The majority of emergency medical issues can be treated at Weeks. For those patients who need to be referred to a specialty hospital, Weeks has developed an extensive network of working relationships with many specialty hospitals throughout New England.
