General Surgery

Weeks’ board-certified general surgeons, Drs. Maude Keeshin and Walter Voigt, provide a wide range of surgical and diagnostic procedures such as:

• laparoscopic surgery (laparoscopic appendectomy laparoscopic removal of gallbaldder and diagnostic laparoscopy)
• breast procedures including lumpecotmy, mastectomy, sentinel node biopsy, stereotactic breast biopsy
• colon resections
• hernia repairs
• colonoscopy screening and prevention of colon cancer through removal of pre-cancerous polyps
• upper endoscopy to examine the GI tract

This is only a sample of the types of surgeries performed by the general surgeons.  Many procedures are performed in Weeks’ Same Day Surgery Unit, with patients returning home on the day of their procedure. The surgeon’s offices are located at 170 Middle Street in Lancaster.  Appointments may be made by calling 603-788-5292.
