Northwoods Hospice will be offering the Hospice Volunteer training in Colebrook. “We are very excited to be able to offer our second Hospice Volunteer training in Colebrook. As the requests for Hospice services increase, so does the need to have access to trained volunteers” states Gail Tattan-Giampaolo, Director of Northwoods Home Health & Hospice.
Northwoods encourages anyone interested in becoming a Hospice volunteer to attend this training. This training is also used as community education and anyone interested in learning about end-of-life issues are invited to attend.
The training begins on October 6th and runs for four consecutive Thursday nights, 6:00-8:30 pm. All sessions will be held in the Indian Stream Health Center’s Community Room at 141 Corliss Lane, Colebrook. Along with people interested in becoming volunteers, the training is also open to anyone who would like to learn more about Hospice care and issues of death and dying for personal or professional reasons.
To register for the training or for further information, please contact Cherish Brachtel, Patient Care Coordinator, 603-237-8235. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. If you would rather stop by for more information, Northwoods Home Health and Hospice, a department of Weeks Medical Center is located at 120 Main Street Suite #5 in Colebrook and at 278 Main Street in Lancaster.
