Come join Northwoods Home Health & Hospice, a division of Weeks Medical Center, for their 1st annual Memorial Butterfly Release on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 12:30pm.
This event is open to the public and will be held at the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace in Colebrook, NH during the Blessing of the Bikes weekend. Releasing live butterflies for a loved-one is a unique way to honor and remember them.
In support of their Hospice mission of providing compassionate end of life care, grief support, and education of the highest quality to patients, families, and the community, Northwoods Home Health & Hospice is pleased to offer this Memorial Butterfly Release as a time of reflection and celebration of loved ones we have lost. It will also be a time when people come together for a common purpose: to honor the lives of loved ones that have died.
For a donation of $12, you will receive a live Monarch butterfly in memory of your loved one. Envelopes containing the butterflies will be passed out at 12:30 pm - just prior to the butterfly release. The names of loved ones will be read aloud during the memorial. The Monarch Butterfly is nature's ultimate symbol of change, transformation and beauty. Let us come together and honor a loved one by releasing beautiful Monarch butterflies!
Due to the nature of ordering live butterflies for this event, butterflies need to be reserved and paid for ahead of time. If you are unable to attend the Butterfly Release but would still like to purchase butterflies, a Hospice volunteer will release the butterflies for you.
