Mary Smith, a long time volunteer at Weeks Medical Center, has been selected as the recipient of the 2010 Mel Gallup Memorial Award. The award recognizes outstanding volunteer service to the Weeks Medical Center community. The Mel Gallup Memorial Award honors the memory of Melbourne James Gallup, an outstanding hospital volunteer, who passed away in 1982.

For the past 12 years Mary has served the hospital's pharmacy department and now volunteers each week making appointment reminder calls. Mary has accumulated 2500 Lifetime Service Hours. Congratulations Mary and Thank You!

Lynn Fuller, from the Weeks Cafeteria, was recognized for her 1130 Lifetime Service Hours. Richard Gallagher who volunteers in the Materials Management Department delivering supplies and mail throughout the hospital was recognized for 1200 Lifetime Hours of Service and Peggy Guilmette has achieved 1130 Lifetime Service Hours volunteering in the Auxiliary Sunshine Gift Shop.
