In this role, Dr. Smith joins current Hospitalist, Dr. Stephen Regan, increasing coverage at Weeks to seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dr. Smith is certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He graduated from the University of Louisville, School of Medicine and did his Residency at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME. He comes to Weeks from Penobscot Bay Medical Center where he was Chief, Division of Hospitalist Medicine. Previous to that, he practiced family medicine in Warren, ME and Camden, ME.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Smith to Weeks,” said Scott Howe, CEO. “More and more, hospitals are relying on Hospitalists, in conjunction with primary care physicians, to provide important in-patient care.
