Safe Sitter

"Better sitters today...better parents tomorrow"

Safe Sitter is a medically accurate, hands-on, class that teaches boys and girls ages 11-13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children.

Safe Sitters learn:

• What to do when a child chokes
• Safety for the sitter
• How to call for emergency help
• Babysitting business skills (diapering, feeding, etc)
• Basic business skills
• How to entertain a child and keep them safe
• Class involves hands-on manikin practice in rescue skills, small group interactive learning, role playing and games!

Youth must pass a written test and be able to demonstrate rescue skills. Upon passing the program, each student will receive a completion card. There is a $20 fee to cover the cost of the student manuals. Scholarships are available based on financial need.
